ICA 2010 SYDNEY AUSTRALIA 23 - 27 AUGUST 2010 It is with great pleasure that the Australian Acoustical Society invites acousticians from around the world to participate in the 20th International Congress on Acoustics (ICA 2010) in Sydney, Australia. This congress is held every three years for the International Commission for Acoustics and provides the opportunity for all acousticians to meet and discuss recent advances in their fields of interest. The congress will be held 23 - 27 August 2010 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. The congress will feature a high standard technical program which will include plenary, distinguished, contributed and poster papers. Congress topics cover all areas of acoustics. Plenary speakers will include: - Prof Brian Clarke the inventor of the bionic ear - Prof Joe Wolfe on the topic of musical acoustics - Prof Nico F. Declercq the winner of the 2007 ICA early career award on the topic of ultrasonics - Prof Nicholas C. Makris on underwater and atmospheric sensing - AND the winner of the 2010 ICA early career award who will be selected in early 2010. At least 6 distinguished speakers will present on different areas of acoustics. Special sessions will focus on particular areas of acoustics Abstract submission and registration for the congress is now open at www.ica2010sydney.org. The deadline for abstracts is 22 February 2010.
